Great to be constructing these hugelkultur mounds in Nempnett Thrubwell, four in the works so far. All will point down the hill at angles to the lowest point, where eventually we hope to create a wildlife pond. 

Sometimes the simplest compost bay is pallets. Easy to build. Usually free materials!

Major clearance and prepping in Chew Magna. This space was a jungle of overgrown brambles and grasses. I have cleared all and skimmed off the weed layer so far. The design and landscaping will include a raised patio, with winding sleeper steps down to the river. The surrounding areas turfed and planted with large flowering shrubs.
